National Scrapbooking Day and Anniversary

When I got married in 1998, I didn't know that the first Saturday in May was National Scrapbooking Day.  Had I known that and known that I would be interested in "Scrapping" Activities in later years, I might have strongly considered a different day of the month.  But "we were young!"

Yesterday, I wondered when the Day became a Day in history.  It was hard to find good data.  I found on this website that "International Scrapbooking Day" is March 4th, and National Scrapbooking Day is the first Saturday in May.  All the Digital Scrapbooking sites that I follow call the first May Saturday, international Scrapbooking Day (iNSD).  From the same website, Walton says that National Scrapbooking Day began in 1994 by Creative Memories.

So while I am celebrating my anniversary, the rest of you go take advantage of the scrapbooking sales!  The things that I am looking at:  All About That Base by Libby Pritchett; also some Trading Card Templates by Libby Pritchett.  I am thinking about some Templates, and I like these: Our Daily Lives Template Grab Bag by Digital Scrapbook Ingredients or Lay Out Your Day Templates Vol. 4.  What kits are you excited about?

Now is the time to hunt down the collection you need for your upcoming projects.  There are also activities and games at the stores.  (Those are the things that I would like to do, but I do feel obligated to celebrate my anniversary!)
On notes about me: my husband and I have literally been around the world together.  We have lived in England, France, Japan; visited Sweden, Germany, Austria, and Italy.  Though there is still most of the world that we haven't yet seen!  My second child was born in Japan. We now live in Utah where we can enjoy many outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, and skiing.
