December Lori Whitlock Blog Hop

Welcome to the December Blog Hop.  I hope you have enjoyed all these great December projects.  I am going to share a banner with you today.  I love banners!  Lori has several banners in her shop.  I made one a couple years ago with Lori's Vintage Font.  I loved it!  This year I decided to try the Holiday Font.

I typed out the letters for MERRY CHRISTMAS in Silhouette Studio.  I enlarged to 350 points. I then created an offset and moved the offset letters to new document.  I filled the letters with black and printed them.

I cut all the letters and the offset letters.  Then I ran the black letters through the Minc with silver foil.  Then I put it all together to hang.

Isn't that fun!  The snowflake banner is a Heidi Swapp Minc Banner.   I might need one more banner up there...

Lori Whitlock Teacher Appreciation Tags

Welcome to the September Blog Hop.  What fun projects we have seen.  I created a fun Teacher Gift.
These Teacher Appreciation Tags designed by Lori Whitlock are at Snap, Click, Supply.  These make it so easy to print and cut out a cute tag to go along with a gift.  I wanted to personalize a Heidi Swapp Marquee letter for my son's 6th grade teacher.  I printed a striped paper from Lori's School Rules collection, cut that to fit the J, and then printed the tag on photo paper.  This was a quick gift to whip up.

Lori Whitlock August Blog Hop

Welcome to the August Blog Hop.  I hope you have enjoyed all the creative projects so far.  It's Back to School time of year!  Some kids have already started school and everyone else will start soon.  Last year, I had a Back to School Dinner for my kids on the first day of school.  It was so fun to make it a special day.  This year, I am thinking of having a Back to School Dinner on Sunday before school starts on Wednesday.  I wanted to add something special.  This is what I came up with:

I used Lori's School Rules Collection and Awesome font.

What traditions do you have for Back to School?

Lori Whitlock July Blog Hop

Welcome to the July Blog Hop. I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer.  July is a super busy month for my family.  I decided I wanted to use Heidi Swapp's Minc Machine with Lori's designs.  This opens the door to so many possibilities of projects.  You can check out Heidi's videos about the machine.  I used Lori's Thanks Card.  I pulled the file into Photoshop Elements, edited the colors, and saved it as a PDF to be printed at an office supply store.  If you have your own laser printer, you can prepare your file right in Silhouette and print in black on your laser printer.

This is what it looks like as a PDF.  I printed this at an office store.

In Silhouette Studio

Run the card through the minc for a foiled effect.

Pick up the free file today as well!
Hope you enjoyed the hop.  Have a great July!
